It was the last day of our trip and was looking for something besides the hotel breakfast. On our way out of the hotel I asked the guy at the desk and he recommend the place just directly across the street so we gave it a shot. It is a little café/breakfast/pizza place. We looked at a menu before setting down to see if there was anything that looks interesting. Most places in Playa have and English menu or a translation below the item. Not this place. Perfect way to end the trip so we took a table. We were able to navigate the menu with a little time and made our minds up. A croissant with ham, egg and cheese for my wife and the always safe bet huevos rancheros for myself. The waitress was kind enough to point out they had a combo add on that would include my coffee I ordered plus give us and OJ and a yogurt. Food was out in a decent time. I don't mind to wait for made to order food. Both plates were presented well and my wife really enjoyed the croissant. The huevos rancheros was awesome. The flavor in the sauce was wonderful and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The prices are great also. To me this place seems more like a locals place than something for tourists. Definitely worth a trip if you are in the area and want a nice little relaxing café to eat at.

My husband and I discovered this restaurant about a year ago and it has become our go-to restaurant whenever we want pizza, whether we are dining in or ordering pizza for delivery. Prices are extremely reasonable, with no pizzas coming in at over $205MX and are large enough to feed two hungry adults. Our favorite is the Saporita which has speck ham and truffle oil, but the Pesto pizza, the Diavola, the Prosciuto & Mushroom, and the Capriccosa are all very good too. They use good quality ingredients here, the crust is on the thinner side, and the pizza is cooked in a wood-fire oven so it's ready really quickly!
BONUS TIP: Come on Friday and all pizzas are 50% off!
They also have a nice selection of desserts here and a very reasonable lunch special every day of the week that are worth checking out. Also, they will give you "agua de garrafon" (free filtered water) if you ask for it (though sometimes we have had to be a bit insistent about this).
I am docking one star because occasionally the person behind the counter can be a bit grumpy and service can sometimes be a bit lackluster. Also, this is a fairly small restaurant that is very popular and can get extremely busy during peak lunch and dinnertime hours; not their fault but they never seem to have more than one waiter working and so service definitely suffers then. Still, if you are looking for good Italian food at fair prices, this is a very good choice! -

Delicious pizza and by far the best pizza I ever had. I tried the blackberry cheese cake and was also delicious. There are a lot of desserts to choose from.
